Rally to Restore Sanity/Keep Fear Alive

I've never been to a large rally before. In high school I went to two Hillary Clinton rallies but they were in support of a person, not a cause. Last weekend I went to Washington, D.C. with some friends to hear John Stewart and Stephen Colbert talk. The event wasn't exactly what I was expecting, but I loved it all the same. To have over 215,000 gather in the same place for a certain cause is just mind blowing to me.

After riding the metro in and standing for over 6 hours we got to see The Roots, Sheryl Crow, John Legend, Cat Stevens, Ozzy Osborn, and even Tony Bennett. (I pretty much died when Tony Bennett came on stage)

Looking back, I think the best part of the day was that people of all different ages, races, and political backgrounds were able to come together to stand for the same message. "We as hard working individuals can get our stuff together and can coexist, why can't the media and capital hill do the same?"

I took quite a few pictures on Saturday of the different signs and I hope they're enjoyed by others as much as I did.
