Summer Summer Summer

I'm officially in Wildwood for the summer and after talking with some people I was commissioned to take pictures around the island of "classic places" so they can be posted in the Information Center! Needless to say, I was excited. So hopefully, they'll like what I've done so far. ...I still have to do a few night shots at Morey's Pier, a local amusement park.

I've been so happy to do this. It's a little monotonous waiting around for the season to start up so I can work full time. But anyway here the pictures...

I'm Freeeeee!

Finals are done, my things were packed up and I moved home! ...Then I got sick and decided to edit more pictures from the last time we all went out and took some pictures. (I'm just glad this didn't happen during finals week) But in other news, I start working up in New Jersey this weekend and I can't wait! Ok, well enjoy some more pictures and... yeah. lol

With finals done and summer fast approaching

Last But Not Least.

On the last weekend before finals a large group of the girls from the dorm decided to go out an host our very last photo session. After deciding on an outfit theme, dealing with the 90 degree weather (not a common occurrence in West Virginia) and coordinating everything we finally got some shots. I'm really going to miss having impromptu shoots with everyone over the summer. Thankfully we've already started to plan some new shooting ideas. Or maybe I'll get some visitors in New Jersey and I can take them there? *hint hint* Ok... enjoy!

Spring in Morgantown!

Wow, it's been a while since I've been able to post anything here. School has been ridiculously busy, but I'm keeping my head above water. Only two more weeks of classes, it'll be time to head back home just in time to report back to Wildwood for the summer! I'm definitely looking forward to being back.

Ok, so for this shoot it was a little more gorilla style. We really just put some dresses on and headed out around town. Which made for some funny shots and a lot of laughs. Since it's been a while I'm going to post quite a few pictures in this post. I hope you enjoy them and until next time...

Summer is Coming!

I know it's been a while since my last post.  Things got a little crazy around here with exams, reading and ESPN College Gameday.  In all honesty, I'm not even sure if "crazy" is the right word to use to describe the past few weeks.

College Gameday was one of the scariest, coolest things I have had the chance to do in a while.  My friends Judie and Allison and I decided to camp out starting Friday at 3 pm for the show Saturday at 8:30.  Well, after buying a sweet tent (which is currently pitched in my room) we hung out by the Coliseum waiting for the next day when the line was supposed to start forming around 5 am.  Well, unfortunately for us the line did not start around 5, but around 2 am thanks to an incredibly intoxicated (injured) basketball player.  After standing for six and a half hours straight packed back to back with other people without food, water, bathroom breaks, or seeing anything other than someone else's back (I'm 5'2" and a midget in comparison to mostly everyone there) we finally got in.  I definitely know for next year I am going to have to prepare much better, (or maybe security can prepare better to prevent any unsafe situations like the ones that happened?)

But after getting through all of the above I decided it was time to start thinking about summer. That's logical right?  As one thought led to another, I decided to pull some old shots I had from when I was at the beach in Wildwood, New Jersey.  Which for those of you who aren't familiar with it, it is literally the best beach in the entire world.  ...Or my world. O.o

Well, only two more days of class and then I'm off to Maryland so I can have my wisdom teeth out.  But it the mean I'm going to post some Jersey pictures because well... I can!

Morgantown has awesome brick walls.

Last week my friend Sheri asked if I could help her with a pet project of hers and I was really excited to help out. After all... she did rescue me from WV and took me to Ohio for the first time a few months ago. At first when we started shooting I was having the hardest time because of her ridiculously pale skin. [If I didn't know any better I would swear she was related to the Cullens :) ] Eventually we found some shots that worked and I really hope the person they are intended for enjoys them as much as I do. If not then well... we'll just have to do this again!

It looks like this week is going to be crazy busy courtesy of Geology, Philosophy and Interest Groups and Democracy. *dies a little* But I can't wait for the weekend because it's going to be Scrabble-tastic. Not to mention that means we are only one weekend away from shooting at Cooper's Rock which is going to be awesome...hopefully :]

Okay, so enjoy a few shots I did with Sheri! Until I have something new to share...

So... I'm a loser.

Ok, so today I'm going to be a blogging gafoon and post again. The end.

I took a bunch of pictures today /yesterday and I have to say, Morgantown is a whole lot nicer when you can have fun doing something you like for free without having to pay a cover charge. ...Finally! (It's only taken me how many months to discover this?!) Now between the intense Speed Scrabble on our floor and this, I think I found a niche here in good ole' Mo-town.

Now, my goal while doing all this is to try something new every time I shoot people (oh what a pun). Rule of Thirds can't be my only thing I live by! This needs to be an adventure. The End, no questions asked. I mean...on Friday I totally let some creepy man take a group picture for us. That was definitely something new. ...Maybe not normal, but...nonetheless, new.

Ok, below I posted some pictures of Brittany and Jacqueline. ...And of course the now famous shot taken up at Stalkner. And I would like to say I actually don't have double chinnage going on in real life... it's just a bad angle. lol.

Jan...February.

Life seems to just be swirling by in the past month.  Ever since I've come back to Morgantown there has been an unhealthy amount of snow, lots of coffee (courtesy of The Bistro) and the ever dreaded piling up of books.  For some reason, since I've come back life has been so much more interesting.

It might have a lot to do with me being able to finally take my camera out of its bag and blow the dust off the lenses (Just kidding, I would never let dust collect on my camera!)  The first shoot went great.  Two girls from my hall, Judie and Christine were the perfect people to start shooting with.  They were willing to do almost anything in the snow.  I don't think I've had so much fun in a while.  (Next week we are going to do some "Spring" shots.)

Now, I'm re establishing my Photoshop skills from my dreaded Yearbook days.  But this will be a fun learning experience... I hope. :]

Well, I should probably cut this short and finish reading my Political Science reading... Until next time, enjoy some of the pictures of the Judie and Christine!

Happy February!
